Lift & Tighten in Miami
Firmer contours, built from your own collagen.
Dissolvable threads that reposition tissue and energy devices that build collagen, chosen by how much laxity there is and where.
Lift & Tighten

At Naiva, treatment is planned around the degree of laxity, your anatomy and how your skin is aging.
Our approach includes thread treatments and energy-based technologies, including Venus Nova radiofrequency and infrared laser treatments. Threads provide targeted support and encourage collagen production, while energy-based treatments work within deeper layers of the skin to stimulate gradual collagen remodeling and improve firmness over time.
These treatments address laxity in different ways and may be recommended individually or combined as part of a personalized treatment plan.
Every treatment is performed by a licensed provider under Medical Director oversight, with clear protocols.

How we choose between threads and energy
The deciding question is whether the tissue needs to be moved or simply firmed. Mild laxity, where skin quality has slipped but nothing has visibly descended, responds well to energy devices, and both of ours work the same way: controlled heat delivered to the deeper layers of the skin makes existing collagen contract and signals the skin to build new collagen over the following months. Venus Nova delivers that heat with multipolar radiofrequency and pulsed electromagnetic fields, warming tissue evenly across the face, neck and body; laser skin tightening delivers it with infrared light. Both are comfortable, involve no downtime and are planned as a series: Venus Nova results are usually best around the sixth to eighth session, laser results build over two to six months, and both are kept with maintenance sessions.
Moderate laxity, where the cheek has begun to descend or the jawline has lost its line, usually calls for threads. PDO threads are made of polydioxanone, a suture material that dissolves over about six months. Smooth PDO threads are placed in a mesh to stimulate collagen and improve skin quality; barbed PDO threads anchor into tissue and provide an immediate mechanical lift. Silhouette InstaLift uses threads made of poly-L-lactic acid with small bidirectional cones that grip tissue firmly, giving a more defined repositioning of the mid-face and jawline. Threads give a visible change on the day, with collagen continuing to build for months; PDO thread results typically last six to twelve months and Silhouette InstaLift twelve to eighteen months, varying with the individual.
In practice the plan is often both. Energy devices improve the quality of the skin that threads will be holding, and threads reposition what energy cannot move. A patient in their late thirties with early softening may need only a Venus Nova series; a patient in their fifties with a descended cheek may benefit from Silhouette InstaLift first, with Venus Nova to maintain it. What we do not do is treat a degree of laxity that has passed the point where non-surgical options give a worthwhile result; in that case we say so plainly.

Ask your own question →What's the difference between PDO threads and radiofrequency?
PDO threads physically lift and reposition tissue while stimulating collagen along their path, giving a visible change the same day. Venus Nova radiofrequency heats the deeper skin to trigger gradual collagen remodeling with no downtime, and works best for mild laxity. Threads suit tissue that has begun to descend; energy suits skin that has lost firmness but not position.
How long do threads last?
The thread itself dissolves over roughly six months, but the collagen it stimulates persists. PDO thread results typically last six to twelve months, and Silhouette InstaLift results twelve to eighteen months. Results vary with age, skin quality and how much lift was needed.
Does it hurt?
Thread placement is done under local anesthetic; you feel pressure and tugging rather than pain, and there may be tenderness and mild swelling for a week or so. Energy treatments feel like deep warmth and are generally comfortable, with no anesthetic needed.
Is there downtime?
Energy devices have essentially none; you can return to your day. Threads involve three to seven days of swelling, possible bruising and a sensation of tightness. After Silhouette InstaLift we ask you to limit chewing and wide facial movement for two to three weeks, and to avoid dental work for a short period.
How does this compare to a facelift?
A surgical facelift moves deeper tissue and removes excess skin, and for advanced laxity it remains the more complete answer. Threads and energy devices address mild to moderate laxity without incisions or recovery time, and they are well suited to maintaining a face over years rather than resetting it once. If surgery is the honest answer, we will tell you.
