Frown Lines
The vertical “11” lines between the eyebrows develop from repeated activity of the glabellar muscle complex.
Neuromodulators can reduce that activity and soften the appearance of these lines.
YOUR EXPRESSIONS. SOFTER LINES. A TREATMENT DESIGNED FOR YOUR FACE.
Three advanced neuromodulators. One highly personalized approach.

Expression is part of what makes your face yours.
The goal of a great neurotoxin treatment should not simply be to eliminate movement. It should be to understand which muscles are creating the lines you want to improve, how those muscles interact with the rest of your face and how much movement you want to preserve.
At Naiva, we offer Botox®, Dysport® and DAXXIFY®, giving our providers multiple options rather than treating every patient with the same product and protocol.
Each treatment begins with an assessment of your facial anatomy, muscle strength, movement patterns, brow position, symmetry, previous injectable history and desired result.
From there, we customize the product, dose, placement and treatment pattern around you.
Because the best neurotoxin isn’t simply Botox, Dysport or DAXXIFY.
It’s the one that makes sense for your face and your goals.
We Don’t Treat Lines. We Treat the Muscles Creating Them.
The lines you see in the mirror are only part of the picture.
Beneath them is a complex system of facial muscles constantly pulling in different directions.
Some muscles elevate the brows.
Others pull them downward.
Some create the vertical lines between the eyebrows.
Others create the lines around the eyes when you smile.
When those muscles repeatedly contract, the skin folds in the same places thousands of times.
Eventually, lines that initially appeared only during expression may become visible even when the face is relaxed.
Neuromodulators temporarily reduce targeted muscle activity, decreasing the repetitive folding of the skin and softening the appearance of expression lines.
But treating these muscles well requires balance.
Too little treatment may not produce the desired improvement.
Too much treatment, or treatment in the wrong location, can alter facial balance or create an unnatural appearance.
At Naiva, we assess how your entire face moves before deciding where to inject.
The goal isn’t less expression. It’s better control of the expressions creating unwanted lines.
Botox. Dysport. DAXXIFY.
Botox, Dysport and DAXXIFY are all prescription neuromodulators derived from botulinum toxin type A.
They work by temporarily reducing signaling between nerves and targeted muscles.
The underlying concept is similar, but the products are not identical or interchangeable.
Their formulations differ.
Their units cannot be directly compared.
Approved indications differ.
Individual patients may also experience differences in onset, duration or how they feel and look with one product versus another.
That is why Naiva offers all three.
Having options allows the treatment to follow the patient, not the other way around.
The Treatment That Made Neuromodulators a Household Name.
Botox Cosmetic contains onabotulinumtoxinA and has an extensive history of aesthetic use.
It is FDA-approved for the temporary improvement of moderate to severe forehead lines, glabellar lines between the brows, crow’s feet and platysma bands of the neck in adults.
At Naiva, Botox may be selected for patients who have responded well to it previously or when its clinical characteristics align with the treatment plan.
The number of units required depends on the muscles being treated, their strength, your anatomy, previous treatment history and how much movement you want to retain.
There is no universal “full-face dose.”
Your Botox treatment is mapped to your face, not copied from someone else’s injection pattern.
Natural-Looking Movement With A Customized Treatment Pattern.
Dysport contains abobotulinumtoxinA and is FDA-approved for the temporary improvement of moderate to severe glabellar lines between the eyebrows in adults younger than 65.
Like other neuromodulators, Dysport temporarily reduces activity in selected muscles.
Some patients appreciate its relatively quick onset, while others simply prefer the way they respond to Dysport after having tried different products.
Dysport units are measured differently from Botox units.
That means a patient receiving a numerically larger number of Dysport units is not necessarily receiving “more Botox.”
The products cannot be compared unit-for-unit.
At Naiva, we dose Dysport according to the product itself, the muscles being treated and the desired clinical outcome.
A Different Approach to Neuromodulation.
DAXXIFY contains daxibotulinumtoxinA-lanm and provides Naiva with another option for patients seeking aesthetic neuromodulator treatment.
Its formulation is unique because it uses a proprietary peptide-based excipient and does not contain human serum albumin as an excipient.
DAXXIFY is FDA-approved for the temporary improvement of moderate to severe glabellar lines.
One of its most notable characteristics is its potential duration.
In the two clinical studies supporting its approval, about half of patients were still rated as having none or mild frown lines at around six months, although individual duration varies.
This can make DAXXIFY particularly interesting for appropriate patients who value the possibility of a longer interval between treatments.
However, longer duration does not automatically make it the best product for every patient.
Your previous neuromodulator experience, treatment area, anatomy, desired movement, budget and personal preferences all matter.
At Naiva, DAXXIFY isn’t automatically the upgrade. It’s another tool that allows us to personalize your treatment.
The Answer Depends on You.
Patients frequently ask us:
“Which is better: Botox, Dysport or DAXXIFY?”
There isn’t one answer that applies to everyone.
The better question is:
“Which product best fits my treatment goals?”
A patient who has consistently achieved beautiful results with Botox may have no reason to change.
Someone who prefers Dysport based on previous experience may continue using it.
Another patient may be interested in DAXXIFY because the potential for longer duration is important to them.
And someone receiving neurotoxin for the first time may want our provider to recommend the most appropriate starting option.
We consider:
Then we choose the product and treatment pattern.
Three products give us options. Expertise tells us which option to use.
The vertical “11” lines between the eyebrows develop from repeated activity of the glabellar muscle complex.
Neuromodulators can reduce that activity and soften the appearance of these lines.
Horizontal forehead lines develop from repeated contraction of the frontalis muscle.
The frontalis also helps elevate the eyebrows, which is why treating the forehead requires careful consideration of brow position and the muscles pulling in the opposite direction.
At Naiva, we evaluate the forehead and brows together rather than treating horizontal lines in isolation.
The lines extending from the outer corners of the eyes are created largely by contraction of the orbicularis oculi when smiling and squinting.
Strategic treatment can soften these lines while preserving a natural-looking smile.
Neurotoxins can influence the balance between muscles that elevate and depress the brow.
In appropriately selected patients, strategic placement may subtly influence brow shape or position.
This is not a surgical brow lift, and the amount of change possible is limited by individual anatomy.
Small lines along the sides of the nose can become prominent during smiling or facial expression.
For appropriate patients, small amounts of neurotoxin may be used to reduce this movement.
Strategically placed neurotoxin around the upper lip can reduce the inward pull of the orbicularis oris, allowing a small amount of additional upper-lip show.
A lip flip does not add volume and is fundamentally different from lip filler.
Overactivity of the mentalis muscle can create a pebbled or dimpled appearance of the chin.
Targeted neuromodulator treatment may soften this appearance in appropriate patients.
The depressor anguli oris muscles can contribute to downward pull at the corners of the mouth.
Carefully selected patients may benefit from targeted treatment to reduce that downward muscular pull.
Prominent or overactive masseter muscles can contribute to a wider appearance of the lower face.
Neuromodulator treatment may reduce muscle activity and, over time, reduce muscle bulk in appropriately selected patients.
Because these muscles are important for chewing, treatment requires careful assessment and dosing.
The platysma can contribute to visible vertical neck bands and downward pull along the lower face.
Appropriately placed neurotoxin may improve the appearance of platysmal bands and help refine lower-face balance in selected patients.
Botox® Cosmetic is FDA-approved for frown lines, forehead lines, crow’s feet and platysma (neck) bands.
Dysport® and DAXXIFY® are FDA-approved for frown lines between the brows. Treating the other areas shown here (brow balance, bunny lines, lip flip, chin dimpling, the corners of the mouth and the masseter muscles) with any of the three, or treating forehead lines, crow’s feet or the neck with Dysport or DAXXIFY, is off-label. Your provider will discuss this with you before treatment.
Movement Is Not the Enemy.
A completely motionless forehead is not everyone’s goal.
Some patients want a very smooth result.
Others want their lines softened while maintaining considerable movement.
Others are primarily interested in preventing repetitive creasing from becoming more deeply etched.
All of those goals can be valid.
At Naiva, we ask how you want to look before deciding how much product to use.
That allows us to adjust the treatment toward a result that may be:
Soft and expressive
Smooth and polished
Subtle and preventative
More comprehensive
There is no single correct aesthetic.
The appropriate result is the one that still looks like you.
Sometimes the Best Result Isn’t About Adding More Units.
Facial muscles work as a system.
Treating one area can influence the appearance of another.
The forehead and brow are one of the clearest examples.
The frontalis elevates the brows, while other muscles exert downward pull.
Simply treating every visible forehead line without considering this relationship can alter brow position.
The same principle applies throughout the face.
At Naiva, we can evaluate the upper face, lower face and neck as a connected muscular system rather than treating isolated lines.
This does not mean every patient needs “full-face Botox.”
It means that every injection should make sense in the context of the entire face.
Balance first. Units second.
Great Results Often Come From Treating Different Causes Differently.
Botox, Dysport and DAXXIFY treat muscle movement.
They do not replace lost facial volume.
They do not directly resurface damaged skin.
They do not restore collagen in the same way as regenerative or energy-based treatments.
And they do not replace a good skincare program.
That is why some of Naiva’s most comprehensive aesthetic plans combine modalities.
Movement + structural support.
Neurotoxin can soften expression lines caused by muscle contraction, while appropriately selected filler can restore or reshape volume where structural support has changed.
Expression control + healthier-looking skin.
HydraFacial, professional skincare and appropriately selected peels can address surface concerns that neurotoxin does not.
Movement + collagen remodeling.
Neurotoxin can address dynamic lines while resurfacing treatments focus on texture, scars, fine lines and skin quality.
These treatments are appropriately spaced rather than automatically performed together.
Muscular balance + skin quality.
For patients experiencing both dynamic lines and changes in skin firmness, a treatment plan may address each concern separately using complementary modalities.
At Naiva, we don’t expect one syringe to solve every sign of aging.
We identify what is causing each concern and choose the appropriate treatment for it.
Before injecting, we evaluate your face both at rest and in motion.
You may be asked to smile, frown, raise your eyebrows, squint or make other expressions so we can understand how your muscles interact.
We consider your anatomy, symmetry, muscle strength, brow position, existing lines, previous treatments and desired outcome.
We discuss whether Botox, Dysport or DAXXIFY makes the most sense for your treatment.
If you have previously had excellent results with one product, that history matters.
If you are interested in changing products, we discuss why.
Injection points and doses are selected according to your individual anatomy and muscle activity.
We do not assume that two patients requesting “forehead Botox” require the same injection pattern or dose.
Neurotoxin injections are performed using a very fine needle and generally take only a short time.
Most patients return to normal daily activities shortly afterward, with appropriate post-treatment instructions.
Neuromodulator results develop gradually.
Your provider will explain when you should expect your selected product to begin working and when the result should be assessed.
When appropriate, we use your response to inform future treatments.
Your treatment history becomes part of your treatment plan.
Three Products. One Philosophy: Treat the Individual.
Many practices offer a neurotoxin.
Naiva offers choice backed by individualized assessment.
We carry Botox.
We carry Dysport.
We carry DAXXIFY.
But the products themselves are only tools.
What matters is understanding facial anatomy, muscular relationships, dosing, placement, symmetry and the aesthetic result the patient actually wants.
Our goal is not to use the greatest number of units.
It is not to eliminate every visible movement.
And it is not to make every patient look the same.
Our goal is to use the right product, in the right muscles, at the right dose, to create a result that belongs on your face.

Every treatment is performed by a licensed provider under Medical Director oversight, with clear protocols.
Assess. Map. Customize. Treat. Reassess.
Product selection, injection placement and dosing are based on your anatomy, muscle activity, medical suitability, treatment history and aesthetic goals.
Refreshed. Balanced. Still You.

Individual outcomes vary according to product, dose, treatment area, muscle strength, anatomy, metabolism and other individual factors.
The Naiva Experience
Great injectable treatment should feel personal from consultation through follow-up.
Our goal is to make sure you understand what is being treated, why it is being treated and what you can realistically expect.
Ratings and reviews displayed on this website are sourced from Google.
All three are botulinum toxin type A neuromodulators used to temporarily reduce targeted muscle activity.
They contain different botulinum toxin formulations and have different manufacturing processes, excipients, dosing systems and FDA-approved indications.
Their units are not interchangeable.
Individual patients may also experience differences in onset, duration and treatment response.
Rather than declaring one universally better, Naiva selects the product according to your anatomy, treatment history, preferences and goals.
In the two clinical studies supporting DAXXIFY’s approval for frown lines, about half of patients were still rated by investigators as having none or mild frown lines at around six months.
Some patients experienced results for longer, while others experienced shorter duration.
Botox and Dysport are commonly treated on approximately three-to-four-month cycles, although individual duration varies considerably.
No product can guarantee an exact duration for an individual patient.
Onset varies between products and between patients.
Dysport may begin producing visible effects relatively quickly in some patients, and DAXXIFY and Botox also begin working within the days following treatment.
Rather than choosing a product solely because of a difference of a few days in onset, we consider the complete treatment goal.
You may see this repeated frequently online, but it is an oversimplification.
Clinical effect depends on the product as well as dose, concentration, injection volume, injection technique, treatment location and anatomy.
Naiva does not select Dysport simply because we want “more spread” or Botox because we want “less spread.”
We select and administer each product according to the desired clinical effect.
You don’t have to.
The amount of movement remaining after treatment depends on the muscles treated, placement, dose, anatomy and your desired result.
Some patients prefer a very smooth appearance, while others want significant expression preserved.
Tell us what you want your result to look like.
Duration varies.
Botox and Dysport commonly last approximately three to four months for many aesthetic patients, although shorter and longer responses occur.
DAXXIFY may provide a longer duration for some patients, particularly when treating glabellar lines.
Muscle strength, dose, metabolism, treatment area, previous treatment and individual biology can all affect longevity.
They can reduce repetitive muscle contraction that contributes to the development and deepening of dynamic expression lines.
For some patients, treating these muscles before lines become deeply established may help reduce repetitive creasing.
However, there is no universal age when someone “should” start treatment.
We base treatment on your anatomy, movement, goals and preferences, not your birthday.
Not always.
A line visible only during expression may respond very well to reducing the underlying muscle movement.
A deeply etched line that remains visible when your face is completely relaxed has already undergone structural changes within the skin.
Reducing movement may soften it and prevent continued repetitive folding, but additional skin treatments may be necessary if the goal is further improvement.
This is one reason Naiva may recommend combining neurotoxin with resurfacing or regenerative treatments rather than continually increasing the dose.
Not in a way that can be meaningfully compared unit-for-unit.
Botox and DAXXIFY use different formulations and dosing systems.
Their units are specific to each product and cannot be directly converted or compared as measures of “strength.”
The appropriate dose is determined according to the product being used and the treatment goal.
Yes, when clinically appropriate.
If you have been happy with your current product, there may be no reason to change.
If duration, onset, response, preference or another factor makes you interested in an alternative, discuss it with your provider.
We use your previous response as useful information when planning the next treatment.
Most patients describe a brief pinch with each injection.
The needles used are very fine, and treatment itself is typically relatively quick.
Minor redness, swelling, tenderness or bruising can occur around injection sites.
Neuromodulator results are not immediate.
Effects develop over the days following treatment and continue evolving before reaching their full result.
The exact timeline varies by product and patient.
Your provider will tell you when your result should be evaluated rather than judging the treatment too early.
Pricing depends on the product selected, areas treated and dose required.
Because Botox, Dysport and DAXXIFY use different unit systems, comparing treatments solely by the advertised price per unit can be misleading.
We focus on the treatment required to achieve your desired outcome and review pricing before proceeding.
We assess your muscle strength, anatomy, treatment area, existing movement, previous response and desired result.
Two patients with similar forehead lines can require different doses because their underlying muscles are different.
We dose the muscle, not the wrinkle.
Most patients return to normal daily activities relatively quickly.
Temporary injection-site redness, swelling, tenderness, headache or bruising can occur.
Your provider will give you post-treatment instructions and review uncommon but potentially serious adverse effects before treatment.
Botox Cosmetic, Dysport and DAXXIFY are FDA-approved prescription medicines for specific aesthetic uses, and each carries risks.
Each product’s Important Safety Information, including a Boxed Warning about the spread of toxin effect beyond the injection area, is linked at the bottom of this page.
Your provider will review your medical history, medications, previous reactions, pregnancy or breastfeeding status, neuromuscular conditions and other relevant factors and go through the risks with you before treatment.
YOUR NEUROTOXIN TREATMENT SHOULDN’T BE EITHER.
Botox, Dysport and DAXXIFY give us three tools.
But great injectable treatment is not about choosing a brand from a menu.
It is about understanding your face.
At Naiva, we evaluate how you move, where your muscles are strongest, how your brows and expressions interact, what has worked for you before, how much movement you want to preserve and how long you would ideally like your result to last.
Then we build your treatment around those answers.
And when expression lines are only one part of the concern, we can incorporate neurotoxins into a broader Naiva treatment plan involving fillers, skin resurfacing, regenerative treatments, skin tightening, HydraFacial, peels and professional skincare.
Three neuromodulators. Countless facial patterns. One treatment designed specifically for you.
