What peptides are

Peptides are short chains of amino acids that the body uses as messengers, telling a gland or tissue to do more or less of something. Many prescription medicines are peptides. The two we prescribe each act on one specific signal, and each is chosen for one specific purpose.
Sermorelin
Sermorelin is a short form of the hormone the brain uses to tell the pituitary gland to release growth hormone. It works with your body's own growth-hormone signaling rather than replacing it, which is the difference between sermorelin and growth hormone itself. It is a small injection you give at home, on a schedule your clinician sets after reviewing your health history.
PT-141 (bremelanotide)
PT-141, also called bremelanotide, is a peptide used in sexual wellness. It acts on receptors in the brain involved in sexual desire, rather than on blood flow. It is taken as needed, not every day. Blood pressure needs to be well controlled before starting, and your clinician will explain how and when to use it.
What to expect
Your first visit is a consultation covering your health history, current medications and what you want to support. If a peptide is prescribed, you learn the routine before you leave. Your clinician sets check-ins to review how it is working and whether it is doing what it was chosen for, then continues, adjusts or stops it with you. Every peptide sits inside your personalized plan alongside anything else you are doing with us.

Questions patients ask
Answers from the clinical team, in the order they tend to be asked. Anything specific to you is confirmed at consultation.
Ask your own question →Which peptides do you offer?
Two: sermorelin and PT-141. We do not prescribe BPC-157, TB-500, CJC-1295, ipamorelin or other peptides sold online, many of which are labeled for research use only and are not approved for people.
Are these FDA-approved?
No. Both are compounded by a licensed pharmacy to your prescription, and compounded medications are not FDA-approved products.
What are the risks, and who shouldn't use them?
With sermorelin, the most common reactions are redness, swelling or soreness where you inject, and some people notice flushing or a headache. With PT-141, nausea is the most common side effect, and flushing, headache and a temporary rise in blood pressure can occur. Neither is prescribed during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and PT-141 is not prescribed to anyone with uncontrolled high blood pressure or heart disease. Your clinician reviews your history and medications before prescribing.
Do I have to inject myself?
Sermorelin is a small injection under the skin with a very fine needle, and your clinician shows you how before you leave. PT-141 is prescribed in the form your clinician recommends and is used only when you need it.
Do I need labs first?
Your clinician decides what is needed from your history and goals. Patients who already have a Naiva baseline panel start from that, and any additional labs are ordered before a peptide is prescribed, not after.
How much does it cost?
Each peptide is priced individually, and the full cost is given to you in writing before you start as part of your personalized plan. Your consultation fee is credited to your personalized plan.
